Ed. tech 2 Lesson 4

What do you say to the plan of the Department of Education to supply one computer unit to each public school (average school population with 1,000 students) in the country?

ANS.  The plan of the Department of education of providing one computer unit for every public school is a good idea an initial plan only in the improvement of the students skill in computer technology which is a trend worldwide. however,I believe the number is not enough in providing faster enhancement of the capability of the majority of the student population sine the average population of the student is 1,000 in the country. it is best that at least more students could avail of the technology to keep them abreast of the trend in science and technology and for the implementation of their task. Provided however that the government could shoulder the budget  to attain this.

Lesson 5: State-of-the-Art ET Application Practices

What can you say about teachers who used media, simply to make classes entertaining and fun?

Ans.

The key word in that question is "simply." If the only purpose is to make it fun, then it is not appropriate. A teacher should always begin with an objective--what do I want my students to understand or be able to do after this lesson. Once that is decided, then there are a variety of ways to teach that lesson. Choosing a fun way is a great idea--as long as it is both fun and effective. In other words, media has its place, but the learning still has to happen.
